John Ritchie (1941 - 2007) ...One Of Stoke City's 'Greats' Passes Away.

We were only talking at the last home match about what John Ritchie would have done with some of the chances that the Stoke team have been missing of late.

The agreed view was that with his goalscoring touch, particularly his heading ability,we would have bagged more goals and even more points.

Sad news indeed but it was a pleasure and a privilege to watch him play in the red and white stripes at the old Victoria Ground.Plenty of memories of really good times!
